Juguemos a Cantar (Let's play to sing) is a series of albums from the TV Show of the same name, aiming mainly to children. Its editions were released on 1982 and 1983. In 1982, Televisa produced this competition show that was transmitted before the program of Raúl Velasco "Siempre en Domingo". History

The song "Juguemos a cantar" was written by Sergio Andrade in 1982 and submitted to the Committee of the Festival of the same name, among other songs by various authors, since the Committee would consider those songs to become the main theme of the First Children's Festival in 1982. Both members of the Organizing Committee and the record company Musart, unanimously, selected the winning song, composed in music and lyrics by Sergio Andrade, called "Juguemos a cantar". From that moment the song of Mr. Andrade became the official theme of the Children's Festival of the same name, and it was included on the disc collection of the festival; appearing in both releases.

Sergio Andrade's song drew attention not only to the organizers of the Festival, but immediately also to the general public. In that year the theme "Juguemos a cantar" became an instant success, not only by the novel arrangement of the song, but also for Lucerito's interpretation, and the novelty of the lyrics and rhythmic cuts which the choir repeated the musical motifs of the main melody, whether sung or palms. Another thing that caught the attention of the theme was the surprise issue of minor mode modulation, in which the modulation begins to prepare for the arrival of the main choir, through a reduction in chromatic harmony.

The disc collection of the festival, co-produced by Sergio Andrade, went on to sell over 1 million copies and was the event in 1982. From that first Children's Festival, particularly in Mexico everything would become songs for children and youth, and festivals aimed at the same market segment. Organizers not only began to prepare the Second Children's Festival Juguemos a Cantar, but also set about the realization of a festival even more ambitious: "América, Esta es tu Canción". A festival in which every Latin American country would send its representative song. The theme of the Festival "América, Esta es tu Canción" was also composed, arranged, directed and produced by Sergio Andrade.[1]
